My Grandfather and My Father
Where I was young, I used to make my grandfather toasted tomato sandwiches. He was my father’s father. He came from the country. When my father was alive he used to visit us Thompsons. Toasted tomato sandwiches were his favourite, because I made them for him. He was very funny. He used to talk about the past, about when dad was a kid. They are together again now. I miss both of them.
