The Best Years of My Life

When I was between fourteen and twenty I played lots of different sports and went to camp a lot. Sometimes I would go to three different camps for two weeks at a time. I would come home for a week, get some clean clothes, and go to a different camp. I went to Big Cove Camp. It belong to the Y.M.C.A. There was lots of different things to do there: swimming, boating, crafts, and hiking. Everything was so easy back then. Why do we have to grow up? Ha! One time there was three of us in a canoe and one rowboat with two people. We went camping on a nearby island. We were paddling through the water and we saw a jellyfish. The guy in the middle never saw a jellyfish before. So he hollered to the guy at the bow and when he turned around the canoe tipped over. And I panicked. I was swimming the wrong way. I almost gave up. The water was rough and cold. They finally calmed me down and got me to shore. We put on a big bonfire and had a big laugh.
