The Day I Was at Shearwater
By Ronnie Holesworth

When I was at Shearwater competing for the speed skating Nationals for next year in PEI I won five gold medals to compete for nationals coming up. I practiced skating every Thursday morning at the Halifax Forum. I practiced with my coach Ed Mason and my team mates. Some of my team mates may be going along to compete in PEI as well.

My actual games were fun but the competing was hard in Shearwater. I had to compete againest the athletes. They were usually nice to talk to. I was happy to here that I won five gold medals. My coaches were happy that I worked so hard. The awards were handed out to the people that got all the medals on the weekend in Shearwater. When I won I was happy to know that I done well.
