THE HALLOWEEN WEEKEND
On Sunday October 31 2004, I went to Skate Canada with my friend Jack. Skate Canada was held in the afternoon between 12 and 5 at the Halifax Metro Centre. A lot of people attended Skate Canada. Jack and I had front row seats at the performance. Later during the performance I bought pop and caramel corn.
I felt that the show was long, but I enjoyed the medal ceremony at the end. They also showed a video of Tracey Wilson who skated in the Calgary Olympics and won a silver in the 1986 Olympic Games. Unfortunately I couldn’t stay for the whole show as I had a party to attend in the evening.
The Halloween party was held at Bloomfield between 7 and 9 PM. They had a dance and treats at the party. They also had a door prize. I won a prize. I received a bag of Halloween treats. There were quite a few people at the party and each person was dressed in different types of costumes and the judges had a hard time choosing. They finally picked my friend Milly who was dressed as a monk and another costume worn by Kelly who was a clown.
I was glad when the party was over because I was quite tired afterwards. I had a wonderful time that day.
